Dissatisfied with Australia Post
around lunchtime of May 16th, 2006I have in the past leased Post Boxes for my business mail. In exchange for the money one outlays one expects to receive….MAIL. It’s not Quantum Physics.
However at Tea Tree Plaza, the Post Office staff have very different ideas.
My mail; funnily enough cheques that I was waiting for from customers were being returned. Bills they could have returned but cheques are necessary to survive in business, just a small thing.
When I confronted the Tea Tree Plaza Post Office and spoke with a female staff member, she advised me there was nothing they could do unless I could prove it by producing an original envelope with a redirection notice on it.
In the meantime mail progressively went missing. I even accused my ex business partner of sabotage and changed the lock on the box.
Finally, a customer of mine saved an envelope with the redirection and sent it to me. I present this at the Post Office only to be told that they don’t believe it is their error and I should have reported it when the problem first began. Grrrrr. I fully understand why some people have murderous thoughts concerning Australia Post workers.
I telephoned their call centre and lodged a formal complaint, to be advised that the staff at the Tea Tree Plaza Post Office would be “spoken to” and they’re “sorry”.
Big Deal! I have since cancelled the box.
Thank you for validating my inherent mistrust of Australia Post.
