Aaah….the screw-up Fairy visited us AGAIN!
terribly early in the morning of May 24th, 2009I recently re-launched Elixir in the UK at the Natural Products Europe Exhibition at Olympia London on the 5th and 6th April and it was fraught with problems right from the beginning.
It all began 6 months ago when I engaged a printing packaging company to print on 100% biodegradable, fully sustainable paper that we had literally scoured the globe for.
Six months into the job they let us down, so not be fazed, I engaged another one, surprise, surprise, they also let us down.
Then there was the graphic designer, who promised and failed to deliver, however, I did find a great graphic designer in Sweden, who did a fabulous job for us. I can highly recommend Motivated Design Corp. Drop me a line if you would like to get in touch with them.
Special mention to the website developer who was employed in February and to date has delivered nothing but lies.
If that wasn’t enough, recently there was the photographer, who was booked to do a photo shoot of our products in the Welsh Botanic Gardens who ….. ….. yes you guessed it, let us down. She couldn’t be bothered to return my calls after I had booked the venue.
What is up with these people? Is business so good they simply don’t need mine?
I’m seriously considering putting a Wall of Shame on this blog and highlighting these charming individuals and Companies. Stay tuned as sarcasm is just another service I offer.
So lurching forward to the 5th April, Elixir arrived, a little bruised and battered but not beaten.
Considering the hurdles we had to overcome and are still battling, life in the land of Elixir continues to not only go on but flourish!

Lassie,
Sounds like quite a wild ride so far. Many have said that through the greatest of trials the greatest of outcomes are produced. Be that a true idiom then you can expect great things to come your way. Keep the faith my sister. Elixir shall flourish and so will you. Glad to see you back posting. You’ve been missed.

Thank you for your heart felt words Anais. Some truly great things have already come my way.
I guess everyone has their day but why do some days last longer than others?! (lol)
